Wordle was the tool that I chose to explore for my technology focus. I chose this tool from the list of choices because I was looking for something that I can use now as well as for future endeavors. I really liked the tool and it ease of usage. There are many formatting options which I love as I am a visual person. I like that you can change the layout, color and font. Also, seeing the gallery with many other Wordle creations is very inspiring. I do not dislike anything about the tool currently. Usage of Wordle was pretty straightforward. The only thing that I did have an issue with was getting my blog to attach so that I could create a Wordle. After a few attempts, it finally worked. I then played around with the word arrangement, font and color choice before deciding to publish it. I then tried to link to my blog, but was doing this incorrectly as I was trying to attach as an RSS feed instead of a link. When I finally figured this mistake out, I am hoping that it will work correctly once published on my blog. I think this technology tool has many uses now in the courses that I am teaching. I plan to use Wordle this week with my Constitution students to see what they can create. I also can see this being used for book reports and also a more informal writing lesson. As a future librarian, I think Wordle could be used for many facets such as book reviews, promoting "Banned Books Week", new books to the library, and state award titles.
